Patient Positioning:
The patient is placed in a prone position with the heels rotated laterally and a cushion pillow is used as an iliac wedge to facilitate the exposure of the skin surface in the sacroiliac joint area.
Probe Positioning:
Use a transverse image for the sacroiliacal joint tThe landmarks are the ilium at the lateral aspect and the sacrum medially located. The space between is the sacroiliacal joint.
note: Patient with Spondyloarthritis and Synovitis of the sacroiliac joint and positive doppler signal.
