Patient Positioning
Patient lies supine, leg externally rotated, knee 20-30 flexed.
Probe Positioning
Place the transducer on a oblique plane in orientation of the medial collateral ligament over the femoro tibial joint.
Note: chondrocalcinosis with calcification of fibrocartilage (and soft tissue/ligaments) in a patient with CPPD
Note: calcifications within the hyaline cartilage (cppd)
Note: chondrocalcinosis with calcification of meniscus in a patient with CPPD
Note: chondrocalcinosis with calcification of the articular cartilage
