Patient Positioning
Patient lies prone, leg in extended position. You may put a small pillow under the ankle.
Probe Positioning
Place the transducer on a sagittal plane over the fibular head in direction of the biceps femoris tendon.
note: The distal biceps femoris tendon is a musculotendinous unit that connects the long and short head of the biceps femoris muscle to the fibular head, the superolateral portion of the lateral tibial condyle and the lateral and anterior fascia of the lower leg
