Patient Positioning
Patient lies supine, leg internally rotated, knee 20-30 flexed.
Probe Positioning
Place the transducer on a sagittal plane over the Gerdy`s tubercle and shift the upper part of the probe to visualize the iliotibial band.
Note: The iliotibial band lies between the anterior and the middle third of the lateral part of the knee.
