Patient Positioning
Patient lies supine, knee in full flexion.
Probe Positioning
Place the transducer on a sagittal and later transverse plane in the midline over the quadriceps tendon cranially to the patella.
Note: Check the cartilage over its entire visible area. Look for osteophytes medially and laterally.
