Patient supine, leg may be in slight external rotation.
Probe Positioning
Place the transducer on oblique longitudinal planes over the femoral neck and head. Lower ultrasonic frequencies may be necessary.


Red: Inflammatory
Blue: Degenerative/Trauma/Tumor
Green: Crystals
