Patient lies on the opposite hip.
Probe Positioning
Place the transducer over the gluteal muscles and shift the probe to the region, which is tender to palpation. Perform injection in plane.
note: in plane injection of the muscles with a local anaesthetic using the doppler mode, to make the needle and medication better visible
