Patient Positioning

Probe Positioning
Place the transducer on longitudinal planes over the joints and digits of interest. Do not use any pressure – especially while looking for effusion or using doppler mode.
note: patient with a long foreign body at the subcutaneous tissue of a finger (trauma with a rose thorn).
note: patient with a small foreign body at the subcutaneous tissue of a finger (trauma with piece of glass).
note: patient with a very small foreign body at the subcutaneous tissue of a finger (trauma with a rose thorn).
