Patient Positioning
Patient lies prone, foot hanging out of the examination table.
Probe Positioning
Place the transducer on a sagittal plane over the dorsal aspect of the hindfoot.

Note: Plantar fasciitis with thickening loss of reflectivity of the plantar fascia along with an enthesophyte.
The fascia normally measures less than 4.5 mm.
Note: Not affected side with normal diameter and echotexture of the plantar fascia. The plantar fascia normally measures less than 4.5 mm.
Note: plantarfasciitis with thickening and mild surrounding effusion.
