Patient Positioning
Patient seated, arm in internal rotation, elbow flexed (90°) and extended resting on the examination table (pillow)
Probe Positioning
Place the transducer without pressure over the vein, which shall be punctured

Note: in patients with difficulties puncturing the vein, the procedure can be done under ultrasound guidance – in this case with the hockey stick probe. It is important to avoid pressure, so that the vein is not compressed.
